The Friday we got back from Staff Conference one of the guys we had been reaching out to invited the men in the internship to his boat. There is a rather large lake not too far from campus (I believe it was called, “Raystown Lake”) and we were able to water ski, tube, and kayak on the lake. It was a slightly rainy day, but when it cleared up we couldn’t have asked for a much better time. The boating opened a great opportunity to be let into the student’s life (I still haven’t figured out how I should be referring to students on this page, because using their names or too many details seems un-serving) and for us to be served by him as we minister to him. He is distinguishing himself as a guy who is trying to seek wisdom in his life and isn’t easily persuaded by man. This will drive him to the scriptures even more than it will drive him to us; which is exactly what we want.
