The other weekend, after church a bunch of us went to some restaurant called "The Kolache Factory." It wasn't English, but I don't know what it was, other than amazing. What they do is wrap different foods in dough and bake them into delicious balls of doughy wonder! I had a sausage egg and cheese ball, a meatball in spaghetti sauce ball, a philly cheese-steak ball, and a BBQ Beef ball! They had so many flavors it was difficult to limit ourselves. It was a gooood day.
I've learned that the average rainfall for the month of Augustin St. Louis is 2.98 inches. I've learned that my experience of an August in St. Louis has not been "average." Here's a local news source for the story:
"There were 17 days of rain in October, with a record 12.38 inches of precipitation at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport this month as of 4 p.m. Friday. The rainfall smashed a 90-year record for the St. Louis area of 8.52 inches set in October 1919." ---- from "Wettest October Ever" at www.bnd.com
It's really just been that crazy. It's been 17 days of "rain" and most of the other ones have looked like they were trying really hard to rain but had simply just run out. That being said, it's still been a beautiful fall. When there hasn't been rain I've been trying to spend time outside, even if just for a short while. Our campus has had beautiful color changes and drives around town have been gorgeous!

Traditionally in St. Louis kids can't just say "trick or treat" and get candy on Halloween.
They must tell a joke first before people will give them candy. I really respect the idea, but I gotta imagine it would get old - fast.
