Greetings from State College, Pa!
This place is shockingly large. I knew it was big, but I wasn't expecting to be overwhelmed by the sheer size of it. I found myself actually intimidated by seeing herds of people walking down the sidewalks, which is odd, because I've seen comparable crowds before (malls, airports, cities) but I guess that I just can't imagine what it would be like to have all of them on a college campus and actually live as a student here.
In the meantime, I'm going to be learning how to live as a Missionary here. We've done large amounts of orientations and moving in and grocery shopping and furniture moving, and getting situated, and tons of things like that. We've been doing, doing, doing non-stop and I've had little time to think about it all. Sunday will be our first real day of rest and maybe i'll be better able to articulate what my reactions, nerves, and excitments are.
Basically, I'm loving it and as of now looking ahead to it, I can't think of any way I'd rather spend my summer!
